Vintage 1950s Wooden Darning Mushroom. A vintage wooden darning mushroom, dating to around the 1950s, primary used for darning woolen socks. Every home would have one, I was taught as a child how to do invisible darning. The dear little wooden mushroom darner is very tactile and lovely piece of treen, just right to add to your vintage needle craft collection. The collectable wooden darner measures approximately 4 ins (10cms) tall x 2.25'' (5.5cms) diameter.
